It's been nearly three years since anyone has heard from me on here. So I guess it's my responsibility to write a new one.
Over the past three years, I
A: Lost the house I grew up in due to foreclosure
B: Began working at Wal-mart as an overnight stocker
C: Lived in a trailer with no heat through the winter months with my significant other
C: Moved 2 hours away from my family to live with some good friends and worked at Sam's Club
D: Got back with the love of my life :usernamepurplepenguinofdoom:
So that's the cliff-notes. Moving on.
I got a new job last week. Yea, I know Walmart, Sam's Club blah blah. It didn't work out. After working with them for three years I got fired over attendance problems. No hard feelings. I had it coming. But I got a much better job after that. I'm now a security guard! I do access control at a golf community gatehouse. More simply put, I flip the switch for those that deserve it. Pays better than retail, plus I got the overnight shift, which is boring, but less hectic. I was also finally forced to get my learners permit so I can get my license. My bosses want to put me on a roving patrol of the neighborhood soon, and that requires a license to drive the patrol car. After two months here, I get access to full benefits, medical, dental, vision, and a 401k. All in all, I got myself a great job. Don’t mess it up.
It’s safe to say it’s been a rough year for me. I’ve had to end several friendships because people suck. I’ve moved three times, and can’t quite find the right spot for me. I did enroll in school finally, but I’m not very good at it at all. My credit score hasn’t gotten any better. Woe is me, woe is me.
But hey, there’s an upside! I finally wrote a journal!
